The working process of the forming machine

2024-12-17

Forming machine is a kind of mechanical equipment used to process raw materials into specific shapes, which is widely used in plastics, metal, rubber and other industries. The work process usually includes the following steps:

Raw material preparation: according to the processing requirements, select the appropriate raw materials, such as plastic particles, sheet metal or rubber blocks, and conduct the necessary pretreatment, such as drying, heating or cleaning.

Feed: put the prepared raw materials into the hopper or bin of the machine. For automated machines, this process may be done through an automatic feeding system.

Heating and plasticizing: For thermoplastic materials, such as plastic, the heating system of the forming machine will heat the raw materials above its melting point to soften them and reach a plasticizing state. For materials such as metal and rubber, a plastic state may be needed to be achieved by the combination of other methods such as pressure and temperature.

Forming: After plasticizing or heating, the raw material is sent into the forming mold. By applying pressure, stretching, compression, or rotation, the raw material fills the various parts of the mold to form the desired product shape. During this process, the parameters such as the temperature and pressure of the mold need to be precisely controlled.

Cooling curing: For thermoplastic materials, the formed product needs to be cooled in the mold to cure. The cooling process may be achieved by cooling water, air, or other cooling medium.

Release: After the product is cured in the mold, the release system of the forming machine will open the mold and remove the molding product from the mold. For some complex shapes or products requiring secondary processing, release may be required with auxiliary tools or manipulator.

Post-processing: the finished product after mold release may require post-processing, such as deburring, grinding, spray painting, electroplating, etc., to meet the quality requirements of the final product.

Inspection and packaging: Finally, conduct quality inspection of the finished products to ensure that the products meet the specifications. Qualified products will be cleaned, dried, packaged and other subsequent treatment, ready for shipment.

The whole working process of the forming machine is highly automated and precisely controlled to ensure production efficiency and product quality.
